Lisa Carson Armstead is a dedicated and accomplished educational leader with over 30 years of experience in the Plainfield School District in New Jersey. Throughout her extensive career, she has made significant contributions to the field of education, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to student success and academic excellence. Lisa holds a certification in School Counseling, a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry from Howard University, and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Kean University. Her strong academic background laid the foundation for her distinguished career in education.

During her tenure in the Plainfield School District, Lisa has served in various roles, including as a Science Teacher, Professional School Counselor and Principal. As an elementary principal, Lisa led her school to achieve the highest scores of all elementary schools in the district, showcasing her exceptional leadership and ability to positively impact student performance and outcomes. Lisa's leadership is characterized by a commitment to fostering an environment of academic rigor and holistic development. She is known for her innovative approaches to education, emphasizing the importance of both academic and emotional support for students.
